The old 10GB hard disk is gone:

In the nearest second hand computer shop found another, 30GB. Unfortunately in very bad shape, loud clicking sounds are heard when I first tested it. When started formatting 8GB, it took whole 5 hours. On the restart S.M.A.R.T. reported:

It may be a coincedence, but apparently both hard disks are Maxtor. Why me …
